Evà | a poem by Kayode Taiwo Olla

Just the curving of her lips
in a smile
wipes off the curved lines
on a frowning brow
Just the appearing of the dimples
on her smiling cheeks
makes disappear the blush
on my embarrassed face
Just a smile warm
Just a smile serene
Just your smile of pleasant sweetness
can touch a man’s heart to change the attitude!

Just a smile
of approval and agreement
encourages this toiling hand
Just your smile
of interest and concern
has given meaning to this meaningless soul
Just a smile
of real feelings
Just a smile of pure romance
Just your smile
of deepened love
has tugged at the heartstrings to win this heart!
