Stranger Again | a poem by Omomary

He whispered in my ears; he said, ‘Baby, be calm’
‘Oh c’mon bring your hands I wanna write on your palm’
It was just a special night
’Cause he didn’t let me out of his sight
That wasn’t the first time he would tell me about his feelings
So, I didn’t even know why in heaven’s name I was tripping
Or why his name kept ringing in my head
And why I didn’t want that evening to end
’Cause right there where he held my arms
I knew I would give anything for another moment like that

But then, after few weeks everything became so cold
So cold that I didn’t have to be told
That something was wrong somewhere
Like I was only away for a little time
Trading all my strength for a dime
But then, I couldn’t find the love anymore
Pretty little teen in her pretty little world
Why did he make me feel so good before?
Then, suddenly it looked like it was going to rain
Why did he make me feel like a stranger again?
