Sometimes I wonder how
Love came into being
It keeps me ruminating
What is love about?
Passion excruciating from the heart’s depth
Emotions waging war against logic
Bodies causing atrocities
Tongues exchanging honey vows
Life blooming like the happy sun

The sacrifice and pain
The cuddling and laughter
The compromise and fragility
The evolution and dependence
The smiles beneath the raw passion
Holding hands at the marketplace
The joy of sexual healing
The promises made and the jilt
Is this what love is all about?
