ODEYEMI John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He is presently a freelance writer, editor, reporter and a tutor. He writes for various publishing and media firms. His literary works cut across different genres.
He is a vast writer whose works are not limited to the terrain of literature but also cut across media, politics and education. He is an existentialist, dramatist, essayist, poet, editor, writer and a social commentator.
Odeyemi John, widely known as John Law is widely published in national and international literary journals, as well as on different print/online literary and media outfits. He has published several academic textbooks. He also has diverse unpublished works to his credit. He is also a poetry performer.
In 2012, Odeyemi John won the Jury Press Short Story Award; while in 2014, he was a finalist at the BSN/NYSC National Essay Competition. In the same year, he co-authored an academic textbook with his colleagues – Oladipo Gbenro and Moses Christian. He has served and is still serving in many leadership positions.
