Tola Adegbite Olla

Tola KAYODE-OLLA is a poet and a potter. She is a graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University where she studied Literature in English. Her essays and poems have been published in The Guardian, The Punch and The Nation Newspapers in Nigeria, under her maiden name Tola Adegbite. In 2009, her essay won the The Nigerian Guardian Newspaper Annual Prize.

In May 2016, she coauthored the poetry chapbook Twogether, under the name Tola Adegbite. The eBook was published by Bravearts Africa’s Sanafrita Imprint. Tola has also performed some of her poems to audiences on many occasions.

Tola Kayode-Olla, in addition to her writing, practices as a potter and has produced many ceramic works from her pottery studio Geovana.

Tola is happily married to Kayode Olla, together with whom she is Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the online and PDF magazine of the arts, Bravearts Africa.
